Split your hot dogs down the middle without breaking them into two pieces. Put the dogs in the skillet and cook until done. Set aside. Line up your buns on plates spread them open. Add the mashed potato to the bun and pour vinaigrette down the center. Push in your hot dog and line the split hot dog with mayo and add the remaining bacon/shallot mix.
Ingredients (Makes 8)hot dogs hot dog buns split down the middle mayonnaise bottled vinaigrette store bought shoestring potatoes 1/4 teaspoon paprika 1/4 teaspoon red cayenne pepper 1/4 teaspoon chili powder 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon salt
Directions:Potatoes & Bacon Bits:
Boil salted water and boil (chunked) potatoes until tender. While potatoes boil, heat up a small skillet on Medium heat and add bacon and shallot. Cook until the bacon has crisped and lower heat to Low until the potatoes are done. Drain potatoes and put back in same pot. Add half the bacon/shallot mixture (put the rest aside out of the skillet) as well as some of the bacon fat and sour cream. Smash the potato and mix up with the ingredients. Set Aside Cook your fries as directed on package and mix together the dry spices Split your hot dogs down the middle without breaking them into two pieces. This was yummy! Adding a little blue cheese to the mix took it to the next level I think.
